Conditions of Use
Leadger (operated by Leadger Technologies, S.L., hereinafter "Leadger") is an online service for managing accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and related business operations. These terms set out the rights and obligations of the user and of Leadger as the service provider.
Leadger assumes that any user who uses the service has read and accepted these terms. Leadger reserves the right to update and modify the Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. The most recent version is always available at leadger.net.
Leadger, with registered address in Barcelona, Spain, provides the Leadger platform and its associated services in accordance with the terms set out below.
This agreement comes into effect from the date on which the user completes account registration and accepts these terms. Any new features added to the service will be subject to these Terms of Service.
1. Account Conditions
To access the service, users must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
Users must provide a full legal name, a valid email address, and any other information required by Leadger during the account creation process.
It is the responsibility of the user to provide accurate and truthful information. Leadger reserves the right to delete any account if its accuracy is in doubt or if it is found to violate any of the usage rules.
The user is responsible for maintaining the privacy and security of their account credentials. Leadger is not responsible for any damage or loss resulting from a user's failure to protect their login information.
2. Subscription Plans
Leadger offers tiered subscription plans (Starter, Professional, CFO Premium) as described on the pricing page at leadger.net. The subscription is activated upon the user providing valid payment details and completing the first payment. The limits of each plan are specified on the pricing page. If a user exceeds any limit of their plan, they will be required to upgrade.
Leadger reserves the right to modify pricing unilaterally and at any time, with 15 days prior written notice published on the website and sent to registered users.
3. Payment and Access
To process payments, a valid bank card must be added to the account. Leadger will charge the user a recurring fee according to their chosen plan, billed in advance for each period.
The service fee is non-refundable. No refunds or credits will be issued for partial months, nor for periods in which the user does not use the service while the account remains open.
In the event of non-payment or charge reversal, the user will be notified of the non-compliance and will lose access to the service. In the event of termination of the contractual relationship for any reason, including non-payment or expiry of the trial period, personal and usage data will be retained for a maximum period of 18 months, after which it will be securely deleted in accordance with applicable regulations.
No fee includes taxes or duties required by governmental authorities. The user is responsible for the payment of such taxes and obligations.
4. Service Modifications and Plans
Leadger reserves the right to modify or suspend the service, temporarily or permanently, at any time and for any reason, with or without prior notice.
Leadger reserves the right to change monthly fees with 15 days' prior notice. Notification of fee changes will be published on the Leadger website and communicated in writing to users.
5. Cancellation and Termination
The user is responsible for the correct cancellation of their account. The account may be cancelled at any time through the profile settings menu.
If the account is deleted (not merely cancelled), all its content will be permanently removed after thirty (30) days.
The user may cancel their account at any time but will be responsible for all charges incurred up to that point, including the full monthly charge for the month in which the service is suspended. No further charges will be made from that point onward.
Leadger reserves the right to cancel an account or prevent access to the software for those who fail to comply with these Terms of Service.
6. Intellectual Property
Leadger owns all intellectual property rights in any and all components of the service that may be protected, including but not limited to the service name, graphic materials, all software associated with the service, user interface elements, individual features, and related documentation.
The user agrees not to copy, adapt, reproduce, distribute, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disguise any aspect of the service owned by Leadger.
The user also agrees not to use robots, spiders, or other automated devices or manual processes to monitor or copy any content of the service.
Leadger does not claim ownership over intellectual property in content that the user uploads to or provides to the service. However, by using the service to submit content, the user acknowledges that third parties may view and share that submitted content.
7. General Conditions
- The user is fully responsible for their access to and correct use of Leadger in compliance with applicable national and international law, good faith principles, and public order.
- The user agrees not to resell, duplicate, reproduce, or exploit any part of the service without Leadger's express written consent.
- The user may not use the service to store, host, or send harmful or unsolicited communications (spam).
- Leadger makes no warranties regarding the user's ability to use the service, satisfaction with it, its availability at all times, the accuracy of calculations, or the correction of errors.
- Neither Leadger nor its partners or sponsors are responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the user's use of the service.
- If any condition described herein is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the application of any of the remaining conditions shall not be affected.
8. Security and Privacy
By accepting these terms, the parties also subscribe to the Data Processing Agreement, which governs data protection obligations in accordance with the GDPR and applicable Spanish law. Leadger takes the privacy of its users seriously and commits to using the information provided by the user in accordance with the terms of the Data Processing Agreement and the Privacy Policy.
Both parties agree to maintain the existence and content of all documentation and information shared under this agreement as reserved and confidential, regardless of the method, form, or medium used, and commit to making no disclosure to third parties without prior written authorisation from the other party.
9. Usage Data and Service Improvement
In order to continuously improve our services and better understand how users interact with the platform, Leadger collects and analyses aggregated usage data. This includes metrics such as the total number of users utilising specific features — for example, invoice creation and sending, treasury reconciliation, payroll processing, and CFO analytics. This data is used for statistical purposes, product optimisation, performance analysis, and improving the user experience.
This information does not contain, nor does it allow the identification of, natural persons and is therefore not considered personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
10. Marketing Communications
By creating an account with Leadger, you agree to receive promotional and marketing communications from us. These may include updates, special offers, news, and other relevant content. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in our emails.
11. Refund Policy
Monthly subscriptions: If within the first 30 days of using Leadger the user is not satisfied with the service, they should contact us at info@leadger.net. Leadger will work to find a solution, and if that is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
Annual subscriptions: If within the first 30 days of using Leadger the user is not satisfied with the service, a full refund will be issued upon request.
Subscription renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically until manually cancelled. A full refund will be issued for cancellations made within seven (7) business days after an automatic renewal date.
Exception: Refund requests will not be accepted from users whose accounts have been suspended or terminated due to a breach of these Terms of Service.
12. Fair Use Policy
The document scanning and processing service is offered under a fair use policy to ensure quality, security, and availability for all users.
- Each user is entitled to a maximum of 500 scanning operations per month.
- The user agrees to use the scanning service in a legitimate manner consistent with the business purpose for which it was contracted.
- Leadger may temporarily suspend access to or limit the capacity of the scanning service if usage exceeds permitted limits or violates this fair use policy.
- Leadger reserves the right to modify fair use limits with prior notice, provided such modification does not result in a substantial reduction of contracted rights without justified cause.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of Spain. The user and Leadger agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona for the resolution of any legal matter relating to these Terms.
